Curriculum

Classes offered include Intro to Dance, Pre-Ballet/Pre-Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Liturgical Dance. Class observation is permitted during the first class of every month, beginning in October.

Registration Fee

Yearly non-refundable registration fees are $35.00 per family and must accompany each registration.  Immediate family members may attend other classes in the School of Fine Arts without paying an additional registration fee. A one-half price registration fee rate is given to students attending classes at two studios.

Tuition

Tuition is based on a 34 week year.  Each student should receive 34 lessons in their registered subject. Fees are due and payable to First Baptist Church in nine equal monthly payments (due the first class of each month, September through May).  Tuition payment is  late after the fifteenth day of the month. Statements are sent only to delinquent accounts and a late tuition charge of $5.00 will be added to the total amount due.

Missed Classes/Refunds

Attendance at every class is extremely important. If a class must be missed, it may be made up by attending another class closest to the student’s age and ability level. The teacher can suggest a make-up class most appropriate. No refunds will be given for classes missed, except in the case of a transfer from the area or prolonged illness. In the event that a teacher must miss a class and a substitute cannot be secured, either a makeup class will be scheduled or a refund will be issued for that class.

Costumes will be selected in January/February. (One costume per class)  Keeping the cost of costumes to a minimum is a priority. In some cases, classes may wear costumes owned by the School of Fine Arts. Costume payments will be due by March 1.
